This covers doguyilmaz.com itself. My apps have their own policies, listed below this one.

The site is a personal portfolio run by Dogu Yilmaz. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking across other websites. Most pages collect nothing at all.

Contact form

If you write to me, I receive your name, email address and message, so that I can read it and reply. I keep it in my mailbox for as long as the conversation is useful, and I add you to no list.

Pano, the noticeboard

If you pin a note, the site stores the note text and the name you optionally type. Notes are deleted automatically when the lifetime you choose runs out: 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days. Notes wait for my approval before anyone else sees them, and I may remove any note at any time.

It is a public wall, so please do not put personal details, yours or anyone else’s, into a note.

Protecting the forms

To stop the contact form and the noticeboard being flooded, the site briefly recognises repeat submissions. Your IP address is never stored: it is turned into a one-way fingerprint that expires on its own and cannot be turned back into an address.

Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and measures loading speed. It sets no cookies, creates no identifier for you, and cannot follow you to other websites.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies for visitors. Your theme choice, light or dark, is remembered by your own browser and never leaves your device.

Who else handles this data

• Cloudflare hosts the site and provides the analytics.
• Upstash stores the noticeboard notes.
• Resend delivers the contact emails.

Being a website, it is reachable worldwide, so these providers may process data outside your country.

Your requests

Write to me at hello@doguyilmaz.com and I will answer. I can tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If it concerns a note, roughly what it said and when is usually enough to find it. If you are unhappy with how I handle a request, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
